Electronic dance music is composed of many styles and sub-styles.There are many types of dance music that are composed with using different (BMP) beats per minute which is what mainly helps define a separation between genres. The genres include; vocals, live instrumentation vs synthetic instrumentation, different drum beats and patterns. All electronic music genres are mainly intended to promote dancing and lots of it. Some different genres are techno, house, trance, electro, breakbeat, drum and bass. There are also those genres such as IDM, glitch and trip hop, which are more for listening then they are for dancing.
